Gosaikunda is a string of high alpine lakes at around 4,380 m, sacred to Hindus and the focus of a mass Janai Purnima pilgrimage each August. It can be trekked from Dhunche or linked over the Laurebina pass from Langtang and Helambu. The frozen lakes and ridge views are the reward for a steep climb.
